I am a few days behind in the blog but this is one I wished did not happen. An early start I woke up at 4AM local time. We are packed and down to breakfast by 6:45 and the dining room is full. Breakfast is the usual ham and cheese but also some Asian food as well. It is Italy and as the days pass we will continue to see more ham and cheese.
The plan for today is to take the train to meet our 1/2 day tour. After wandering the entire train station for baggage holding we are off. Even located the right train going the correct direction. Here the fun begins. The train is wall to wall people and we miss the stop. Get off at the next stop and start walking. We are trying to locate the visitor information how hard can it be? Only one call to the travel company and 2 blocks of back tracking. Good news we are still 10 minutes early.
We spend a great morning seeing Milan. This was a bus walking tour and everything is going great until Dan looks for his wallet to get his train ticket so we can get back to the station and collect our bags to take the train to Lake Como. Yes, the pick pockets of Milan have his credit card, atm card drivers license and a few other things. Good news is I have the luggage claim tickets in my bag, not to mention our credit cards and atm cards have different numbers so we still are able to eat and spend! But if you get that email that he is stranded in Italy with no money it may be the truth not just another email hack😀
